How do I get the expanded maps and how do I start a game at turn zero. Every time I start a new game it automatically goes to turn 1

Explain what you mean by expanded maps

Turn one is the first turn and turn 0 is when when you are picking your countries.

There are other maps somewhere like the Lord od the Rings and World wars 1 and two etc. I don't see them in the drop down menu

They are not under the "new game drop down menue" they are under "maps" on the upper right hand corner of your screen.
