A Larger Europe Map

Well, we have a Europe + map, I say add a Europe ++ map. I've always liked playing "Eurasia and Africa" better than "Eurasia," only because it includes North Africa. I suggest adding a map that includes all of the countries in the Mediterranean plus Syria and Jordan, essentially merging "Mediterranean" and "Europe+." It would make Spain, Turkey, and Italy more interesting to play with the addition of Morocco and Algeria, Tunisia and Libya, and Egypt and part of Middle East, respectively.

I'm sure this idea has been suggested before, but I couldn't find anything with search. Sorry if it has.

Funny how called it "Europe ++"

I had a similar idea a few months ago and decided to create my own pre-set map (using scenario editor) to create a map like this.

Check this thread for more information, you can find the map on the scenarios list with the name of Europe ++. It includes a few more countries than you've suggested, but I'm pretty sure you will like it, specially because I tried to balance the economy so it's balanced for team games and FFA also.

A new version of it is coming up soon with a few changes based on other players suggestions and the gameplay experience we had.

Wider Europe

Wow, i had the exact same idea just before I made it real. Go to presents and sort by popularity, its on the 2nd page. if you cant find it, just search Wider Europe. Now its the most popular custom present and just like you said, it has north africa and 6 middle east countries: Israel, State of Palestine, Lebenan, Syria, Jordan, Iraq. It has twice more cities than regular europe and have more countries like vatican, faroe, svalbard. It even has the major lakes like Don, Volga etc. it even makes the caspian sea useful Give it a try,you won't hesitate.
