What is the optimal way to play this strategy? I find with the -2 defence, it is hard to impossible to cap my opponent.. Am I suppose to focus on taking all his extra countries first, before i cap him? or am I doing something wrong in my approch to capping my opponent? P.S. i dont wana hear about how bad of a strategy it is. Plz give advice on how to play it, and not tell me to play a different strategy..

My #1 nay of playing with this is by keeping marines by each of my cities as improvised defence.

As I always play either Blitz, Lucky bastard or Sky menace, I have a good knowledge of Blitz: First, you want to pick a smaller country, if everyone has bigger countries that is. Say everyone has countries like France or Saudi Arabia, pick Austria. Then, when the turn starts, your primary objective is taking as many uninhabited big countries as possible. For example, from Austria you could get Italy or Germany (I prefer Italy), Hungary, and Czech. Then, your new objective is selecting the right opponent, and conquer everything between you and him. Having Prog-D-lines really helps. When capping an opponent, you want to take every important city in his country first, also wait for the fourth week in a reinforcement period, so that when the next week starts they cannot take you down easily with surplus units. Always build wedge-walls around every city you find important. Finally, skip Marines, many stacks of tanks is much better.

Why in the whole wide world would you put Blitzkrieg in Europe? Seriously, anyone who uses Blitz in Europe I could beat in 10 seconds flat!

Did you not read any of my post of than my example being in Europe? I can honestly say Blitz is one of the best strategies anywhere; I can start in Austria, and in 3 turns own half of Europe. Most countries you can take with half as many tanks as there are infantry/militia, giving you the advantage of covering more territory faster. Hell, I remember Yoba or Alexxxxi yelling at me when I didn't own Europe in a few turns a while back. Blitz is a definite all-around strategy when against specific players. It can counter most strategies by just conquering so much terrain so fast, making you too big to fail in most cases. If you Start in Austria, and by turn 4 have Italy, Poland, Germany, Serbia, Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech, Croatia, Bosnia, Mont., Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Albania, France and Switzerland, then isn't that better than going into Europe with say, Iron fist, and wasting time with Militia when you could be striking fear into your opponents?

Blitz is the worst europe strategy, period. You will have a huge empire fast, but wait until you're left defending with militia...lold at the thought that blitz can stand a chance against anyone in europe.

Go take a look at my W/L, 90% used Blitz. I score a good amount of SP per game, and on Europe I do just fine. Just don't be a jackass and leave every city with 3 or less, and you're fine.

I'm not too familiar with Blitz I just know that a good blitz player will use the tactic of rush to his advantage. I disagree with playing blitz in Europe though since other strategies such as GC and SM are so much more superior. Stick with North America or Asia for this strategy. Also, Stomach is a great blitz player I'd recommend him over anyone else. Check his guide in the strategy forum.

I agree completely with this. Before I started using Blitz, I checked out his guide. It was extremely helpful. But I do agree with others, KEEP BLITZ OUT OF EUROPE. The only exception to that may be Russia: Volga, if you even count that as Europe. And when I say Russia: Volga, I do not mean use it in a Europe+ game. I mean use it in an Eurasia map or bigger.

It doesn't. Blitzkrieg's only advantage was in them due to its massive range and tb chances. Since the new update tbing is harder and Blitz's somewhat 2nd to only advantage has been removed.

Blitzkrieg is best used for small maps, such as Europe. It allows for quick expansion and destruction.Within a few turns, you can use to quickly overcome enemies and allow for a swift slaughter, comparing easily to the German Invasion of Poland.

Actually Blitz is terrible and harder to play on small maps. Blitz is better when played on larger maps like Asia or USA for example.

If you play blitz, don't cap your enemy until he is utterly defeated. Capture most if not all of his other cities before heading for his cap, and you won't need to worry about defence. Always be on the offensive, always take your enemies' cities, and you won't need to worry about a counterattack. But you shouldn't even be using blitz at all. SM is a better choice since it has superior defense. Assuming that the main unit used in blitz are tanks, it also has superior range, allowing for greater expansion, at the cost of only 10 bucks more per unit. Bombers in blitz may have slightly further range, but they suffer in defense and attack, and cost a lot more. The only disadvantage of SM compared to blitz is its reliance on air transports, which are expensive.

Blitzkrieg is a nice strategy. The biggest thing I like in Blitzkrieg is not the rush but the ability to actually border far away countries you capture. Like for example, as Germany, I normally can't border Austria without spending extra money or units (using GW / IF) but with blitzkrieg not only am I bordering Austria but I'm bordering poland, czech republic, etc. I see a problem is probably in abuse of the strategy's range. Just because you can take Italy the first turn as Austria doesn't make it a wise thing to do. oh and anyways its not really for Europe. It's more like China Southeast or US North E. imo

Some Tips [im a "Pro-Blitz" Player] 1.- let your cities empty, but wall them. 2.- dont buy infantry, unless you have the general on the stack and you are on a line or a city. 3.- use your week 0 infantry to wall your cap and take cities. 4.- never let your cities un-walled. 5.- 3 infantry in a city are useless, use them to make extra wall or to attack 6.- wall your enemy cities and trap his army, then use a stack of tanks and kill them all. 7.- try to use airplanes to go behind enemy lines. 8.- spam tanks each turn. 9.- never, ever. try to fight 2 people at the same time, your turns will get turn blocked and your tanks will die. 10.- always use your general to attack. 11.- bombers and tanks are your best friends. [just some basic tips]
