I have recently had an idea and i created a poll to see what other think.
have you ever been in a game and wanted get all your actions in your turn done before you turn timeout? is so...
i have an idea the idea is that you hold SHIFT in game while dragging your mouse to select a square region all armies in the square region will be selected (or grouped). just as when you drag you mouse on your desktop window of your computer you can select many icons at once. this will defiantly help players in long oceanic battles when you may have to move several dozen armies at a time, while maintaining time to fight a battle on land without a turn timeout.
bellow there will be some screen shots on how this will work.
you start out with a clump of troops in land or water and press SHIFT to make a region around desired area. the image bellow will depict the selection of troops. but for the sake of not having to select the region a thousand times, i suggest militia don't be affected in the SHIFT selection.
and to move the troops just drag the box in the desired direction and the units will move in a parallel vector from the starting point.
i hope you get what im trying to explain and i hope the developers of the game will use this idea and find a way for it to work. please vote on this poll so i can get your opinions on this idea...
Best Regards,
Thomas (/LGND)

I think this is a great idea. It allows for individual battle groups, but also allows them to be moved quickly and concisely.

I like the idea. it helps with quick pace games, and get troops from point A to Point B. With big games will work like a charm count me in on your Support.

Good idea.
It would be pretty cool too, if you could move what direction your troops could move the turn before (after you've moved them already), so it saves time for you to move them the next turn. Understand? ;/

yes this would also be good have like a predetermined destination that it will auto move your troops... sounds legit to me xD thanks for commenting and voting

But, besides the [SHIFT]-Grouping, I insist on the RALLY-POINTS that can determine where specific troops go without having to select them each turn. It isw a perfect complement to auto-production. Possibly rally-points can be limited to auto-production (of cities and countries).
