Greetings fellow AtWar players. Although I wish I could say otherwise, I must say I am not writing this in a lighthearted spirit. I've noticed that since I returned after more than a year of being inactive, there are fewer and fewer players online, and less variety of games being made. A large part of the population of my friends list have not been active in many hundreds of days. A year ago, there were several pages of games. Now, I find that there's often less than one. It truly saddens me to see such a fantastic game lose popularity. I've been thinking about why this has occurred. I believe it to be majorly due to the drawn out nature of the game. As video games in general move towards a more fast paced and more demanding of an on-the -spot reaction, games like AtWar are unfortunately becoming obsolete. While that element is not entirely lost on AtWar, it manifests itself much differently than it does in most other games. So I brainstormed with some other devoted players in Room chat. We came across the idea of creating a separate gamemode of AtWar that includes some drastic changes to the game mechanics. Instead of 4 minute turns, the turns allow a certain number of moves per turns, which would be specified by the game host. In short, a more REAL-TIME approach to the game design and mechanics. Although the idea is not yet very developed, I thought I would bring the notion to your attention, with the well-being of the game in mind. I made a forum thread about it, which will be found here: http://atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=23631 Thanks

if you mean limited moves per turn so this not goood idea because it will change whole concept of game. In some start of game number of moves per turn will be normal. On losing number of moves will be very less and when only 2 or three players are left on map with many cities so they many moves are important to move. for example if the max moves per turn is 10. In start of the game may be everyone complete their work in 10 turns but when only 2/3 are left on map so they need atleast 30-50 moves. If moves are specific so players will not wall or tb easily because both are moves.
