Afterwind needs ban list

Afterwind need ban list in forum where all baned players will be showed also reason why they got baned time date when they got ban and how long is punishment and who ban them,also this ban forum to be public all players to can visit.

Hmm, sounds like a pillory to me, and this kind of public punishment is a bit outdated ;-)

Sorry avatar, I agree with Tzeentch and see no good argument to add this. If you want to know if (and why) someone is banned, you can simply ask one of the mods.

All other online games have ban list

If they are on the ban list does that mean we can throw rotten fruit at them?

Not actually a pillory, but usually banned players have nothing to defend themselves with and they have to wait for the ban to expire... Which can be very long and problematic, players get mad at this, especially when it's because of some mistake, these being much more common than what's healthy.

They don't deserve a pillory, but a chance to prove their intentions.

I agree, everyone should have a chance to defend himself against accusations, but a open Ban List would not help, in my Opinion.
But on the Otherside, a Ban normally had a Story before, and here it looks to me like it is a long way to a ban. And a single Mod alone does not instantly ban (exept in special situations). The ban player had his chances to prevent a ban many times before getting baned.

But why not something like a baned messenger where someone with a ban can message the Mod team to defend himself (again)?

Shit happens, and Mods are humans who makes Mistakes like everyone else, so of Course Mistakes may happen. Every ban is discussed before and even after it is imposed. So i dont believe that we have more "accidental" Bans then somewhere else.
And be true how many baned player tell here (after being unbaned) that they were guilty? I geuss 90% say it was unfair, and start sttacking the Mods. Sadly this seems to be Standard.

thats sound very good.
i thought about something similar like the "contact the admins" button, just for moderators. This way banned players have the possibility to defend themselves. When you send then a message via this button either a randomly choosen mod gets this message or this message goes on a special thread on the mod forum, where the first mod who sees it, will response to it.

what do you think about that?

In my opinion, there should be a list. in other online games, there is a list of banned people and why they were banned. In Combat of Arms for example, they have a huge banned list, and it fills everyday because that game has so many people and a lot of people do stupid things (hack, glitch, annoy other players, make racist comments, but mainly hack and glitch). And, that list could function as a way to deter people from making the same mistakes as what the banned people did, and to have a way for players who were banned to make cases against their ban. But, as I have seen many people go against this, that list won't be made, too many insiders oppose it.

I'm watching and loling as ZOG is the only one saying negative things here, and turning a small suggestion into another argument about modding.

Anyway, obviously we should have a banned list because other games have one *sarcasm*. In this game, there isn't all that much you can do to hack, and it's usually fixed pretty quickly after being reported. Glitching is a fairly standard part of the game. To get punished, it's usually breaking that second rule that shows up every time you join a game: "...and be polite to fellow players." There aren't even that many main accounts getting banned; if we had a ban list, it'd just be full of hdrakon alts and other trolling accounts.

Well, that's also what my clanmate, Inquisidor, mentioned, that the list would be full of hdrakon1 alts and other trolling accounts. but as I said before, too many people oppose it, so it won't be done.

The idea sounds good but who determines who gets banned because players would abuse it and the moderators are people too. i'm not saying they will but the moderaters might abuse it too. think about all scenarios before you post such a power giving idea that that.

I have never banned someone for no reason. You can ask some of my personal enemies (like Fruit when i became mod); i never banned or muted any them for my personal issues with them.

BTW: the reason why RAHOWA is raging:
RAHOWA was saying in roomchat that all mods are biassed. I've never seen him before 'till that moment, so i asked him why he was so mad. He started to insult me personally. Then i warned him to stop, and he simply didn't do so. Then i banned for 5days. After 5days (when his ban ended) he insulted me on the forum again, i removed the post and gave him another ban on the forum. Thats the reason for his raging against me.

pls guys dont comment here abaut mods staff i just give idea for ban list you should post i acept idea sounds good or i dont acept this idea it is terrible ,i dont like this post to be locked or deleted
