Strange coming from a Macedonian, don't you think?
Before I respond to 4nic's ignorant and disparaging remarks, I want to make two things clear; number one, I don't care whether one agrees or disagrees with the sentiment that "guns are bad." I believe in the rule of law, and law is not a malleable concept. Not the way I interpret it, anyway. Secondly, although there is historical significance behind the Second Amendment, that is not the only reason why I defend it. The amendment itself is grounded in reason. There are good reasons to preserve, protect, and defend the right to keep and bear arms, which I will get into later.
What does it take for a society to function? There's nothing more valuable, there's nothing more binding between voluntary associations of individuals, than the rule of law. As soon as we abandon that principle, as soon as we allow the courts to determine for themselves what is or is not constitutional without any regard to the Constitution, as soon as we do that, we will cease to exist as a free society. What do I mean by this? What I mean is that the Second Amendment is the law, and every public servant takes an oath that says, "I will preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States." Yet, the modern Supreme Court seems to have assumed the role of a legislative body in all but name. The Second Amendment is the law, and it's the job of the judicial branch to impartially interpret that law. Rulings like in D.C. v. Heller disgust me. The rule of law is not and ought not be a partisan issue!
The right to keep and bear arms not only has historical significance as I previously mentioned, but there are very good reasons to defend the right itself. I'm not going to address the ancillary issues surrounding "mass shootings," or "criminals," etc.; rather, all I have to say is this: governments go tyrannical and we must defend ourselves in the event that happens. End of story.
"I have had it with these damn soyllerians. This is the last time we come here" says Unleashed, then he gallantly starts walking towards the ladies' table
What's up with your incel fantasies xD. Is merely talking to a girl some sort of achievement to you?
