Another example of A+ battles

So in Masters of West Tourney, Steve Aoki as Germany and me as France. Turn 3 Steve attacks my cap, together he got 180 attack on my capital while i had 171 defence. I lost by 27 units. I was PD with 19 infantry and general against a pd infantry rush with general. While he had more attack and wouldve won, he shouldnt win by 27 units, this is another example of retarded atwar and how there isnt actually battles its just rolling dice and hoping you win. Its literally so stupid. <3 admins who refuse to do anything

Actually its not that outrageous, particiularly if hes if. since you say 180 attack, the attack stats when you hover over inf dont read general bonuses. so im going to assume he hit you with 180/4 inf so 45 infantry? and he lost 18 units'ish attacking you.

the common consensus on aw is that large stacks fare better vs small stacks and in reverse small stacks do badly vs large stacks.

from my experience and from what ive seen others say on the forums, the more units you send the better criticals you get, particularly if youve more than double the defending units attacking. he had more than double. so his losses seem rather reasonable to me.

i like this feature, it adds to the skill level in the game requiring efficiency. ie you expand with min to multiple countries you lose more vs neutrals. as opposed to if you stack fewer countries you conserve more of your starting units.

A normal battle you would lose by 2-3 units.


But he has way more units than you. That's a massive bonus for him.

In real life war, an army doesn't always lose as expected, or win as expected lol... sometimes there are blow outs... This is why there's a luck-roll factor in this game, to account for realism. Or else the game would be perfectly orchestrated all the time, lame.

i like your statement but to say that stacking more makes you more skilled is wrong. People (high ranks) always talk about noob strategies like PD stacking inf to attack. This isnt skill its just luck like rare units. it really is an unfair advantage to the game.

crits arent realistic at all. they are way to common. i understand upsets happen but very rarely, and it isnt something that in a game with 10 battles 3 of them are upsets. it doesnt make any sense.

If we look at the "most realistic numbers in this game" you had 99defence. I know, i look at it. If you count gen/city then you had more, same as me.
I had between 180-190, 40-45 units, count my general also, i was pd, count hp, critical, and there you go..

i didnt say it was impossible. as a matter of fact i said i shouldve been capped. but i dont think 27 units shouldve been left. If the game is just stacks then what is the whole point of attack/defence

no you misunderstand what i meant, i was referring to stacking against neutrals. a relatable example would be imperialist turkey. your units are weaker on attack, when expanding where possible you try to send double vs the neutral, or include tanks with the inf so to conserve them. this is about efficiency

also theres no noob strategies, only noob players. and i dont understand what you meant about it being an unfair advantage to the game. we all possess this advantage, as long as we possess the skill and the knowlege to break your opponent down, make them burn their units, reduce reins available to them.
