Is there a way to make lakes in the editor without having to make two separate areas?

There used to be a way by copy pasting borders inside the country which doesnt work anymore as far as I know (I Would be happy if someone says otherwise) .. the only way to do it now is by connecting the lake to the nearest body of water which will end up giving you an extra unwanted border (Connecting lake to sea) .. I can explain with a pic if that doesnt make sense to you

Do this

Keep borders simple at first to create the lake, then add details.

I literally showed you a lake in a html5 map in the past and you already forgot that I did. Also, you were supposed to make the lake borders simple and add details afterwards.

Ha haaa you've activated my trap card
also even if that process had worked, in my experience i cannot edit a countries borders without glitching it like this...
everything works in map editor, i click on country and the box opens...etc

then i host a game and baaam... cant select the country properly and it doesnt register as land

So anyone actually know if there's a way? So far every experienced map maker has told me there isn't and I've experimented as many things as I can think of and they all failed

Further evidence to prove you are lying is that HTML5 and Silverlight use different default backgrounds for maps
HTML5:

Silverlight:

After some experimenting I found that you can glitch the HTML5 background and it will turn black

However this black does not match the "0b110d" hue which the silverlight editor uses, so do tell me how am I suppose to lake method in HTML5? I'm not trying to prove it's impossible I just want to actually make a project with it and you claim to have the answers yet you don't show them?
