after the breakup of Yugoslavia, Serbia and Montenegro remained in a union but after 2000, both states began to operate more independently to the point that they only shared smaller governmental features (ie. defense). They both uses difference currencies, had different languages, and had two separate "capitals" for administration (think like Rome and Constantinople-one country, two capitals). In 2006, Montenegro had a referendum that showed over half of it's residences wanted independence.

After WW2, Yugoslavia became communist and started long anti-serb propaganda, probably because communists were croatians in majority and they hate Serbs. Montenegro is first Serbian land when they came from Russia and settled Balkan, they called it Zeta, before Serbs it was Byzantian-Roman called Doclea. From there Serbs spread into modern Macedonia, Serbia, north Albania. Communists denied Serbs to declare as Serbs and forced them to declare 'Montenegrins' and we can see that here:





But when Communism died, Serbs started declaring them Serbs again but there were others who were brainwashed enough in 50 years of Croatian Communism to hate Serbs and deny Serbi origin. After American invasion of Serbia and Montenegro, Montenegro was led by criminals who gained power, just like they gained in Serbia. So few years later they seceded and created independent state. Today they are kicking Serbian priests and closing Serbian churches, they banned Serbian language and created new one 'montenegrin' which is basically Croatian language. Soon they will probably start ethnic cleansing of remaining Serbs under courtesy of EU and NATO.


Interesting fact: there is great Serb called 'Nyegosh' he himself said he is montenegrin because he was born and lived in region called Montenegro(means black mountain on serbian language) but his nationality is Serbian, just like Bavarians and Prussians are Germans. He was great leader of montenegrins, a poet, statesman and a priest. Today montenegrins hate him, burn his pictures and books.


It's like Ukraine-Russia, just on smaller scale.

Doclea was first name of montenegrin countru idiot.
After that there was Zeta,after Zeta(first use was in 1274 year in muniment of serbian king Milutin)

Croatian language that was called Serbian till 2011(i think)then it was called"Crnogorsko-Srpski,Bosanski,Hrvatski"
