I don't see any issue with a foreign fighter declaring his faith for his victory, but I'm going to call bullshit on the 'Islam=Peace' & 'Extremists' don't represent Islam' rhetoric from a progressive hippie who converted to Islam and ignores all the parts of the Quran and the Hadith which those extremists follow.

ISIS is following Islam. They are true followers of the faith practicing Jihad. Everything they do is justified and ordained within Islamic religious texts. It's like saying Orthodox Jews don't represent Judaism. The difference between violent secular groups and violent Islamic groups is that secularism doesn't have an ordained scripture. Christianity does but over thousands of years it has had various schisms and changes. Islam - on the whole - has not, which is why 1800's Christians dictated an end to slavery while Muslims today still practice it.

Half of those 1.7 billion hold many of the views ISIS has. Something like a quarter believes suicide bombing can be justified. They want sharia in their homelands and in foreign nations. That TV segment declaring Islamic third world migration is good is another example of bullshit. It isn't good, not a single statistic shows any benefit to such migration. Muslims seek to enforce Sharia Law, it is demanded of them. Sharia Law opposes many of the laws of the West including Free Speech. Islamic groups are working hard to include blasphemy as hate speech.

Christians and other religious groups in areas with large Muslim populations are regularly terrorized, overly taxed and actively prevented from higher social status. It isn't just ISIS, it's the massacres which occurred in India and the attacks on Coptics in Egypt. It wasn't ISIS which forced Muslim refugee men to rape girls in Europe or to rob and sexually assault girls in Germany on New Years Eve. This refusal to acknowledge deep problems is what pisses people off and the same response is 'You're an Islamophobe' or 'Islam = Peace'. That's not an argument, that isn't a justification. If you're going to declare such a high standard then you will be called out on it.

"There is no connection between terrorism and Islam"

And that is a load of shite. There's an obvious connection, justified within the Quran.

No, they aren't. He's a westernized progressive turned Muslim. Everything ISIS does is justified within the Islamic texts.

Lainaa:
"Dar al-Harb
Dar al-Harb (Arabic: دار الحرب‎‎ "house of war"; also referred to as Dar al-Gharb "house of the West" in later Ottoman sources), aka Dar al-Kufr ( دار الكفر ), literally "Realm of the Heathens" i.e. where the Islamic law isn't implemented; an individual from "Dar al-harab" is a "harabi" (Arabic: حربي‎‎). Dar al-Kharab is a term classically referring to those countries where the Muslim law is not in force, in the matter of worship and the protection of the faithful and dhimmis"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divisions_of_the_world_in_Islam

Islamic groups have declared much of the West as Dar al-Harb, for a multitude of reasons including actions of war against Islamic countries or being within an alliance of those countries. Even the act of so-called 'discrimination' against Muslims is a justification. It's pretty vague. As such, any citizen or member of these nations is subject to war, which includes slavery, execution or terror.

This is how terrorism is justified against both Muslims and Non-Muslims, because ISIS claims Shi'Ite's are not Muslims. It's all justified within the Quran and the Hadith and they aren't using overt re-interpretations of the text. It's very literal.
