Tips on Vichy France in Ultimate WWII

So ultimate WWII is one of my favorite scenarios and I've gotten a handle on most of the other smaller nations (ex. aussie, manch, romania, ff) and vichy is kinda a step up for me with a large nation and a huge responsibility in winning the war in africa. I was wondering if anyoen could provide me with information from different strategies to how to start off with. Thank you!

I would say focus on being defensive and don't go into an all out offensive because you will run out of money fast. Do bring lots of reinforcement from vichy france to dakar as fast as possible. Exploit any weakness in the enemy you see.

So would you recommend the strat being PD?

PD is good for cheap def and powerful inf
IMP also good for cheap and okay def

There are other strats that might be good, like I used hybrid warfare before, it worked well.

Open up a new thread (not tht im mad you asked on this post) so other people will come to answer it who have the knowlege and experience.

Last thing, do you think its safe to leave vichy france cap empty in the beginning (the cap would still be walled) as well as emptying algeria to get more troops down into dakar?

I would move all units from vichy, and leave it up to germany to protect the cap, but walling is a must. At the end of the of the reinforcement cycle, if you have any spare cash, just buy militia to fill up vichy (or inf if you are rich). It is very important to manage your money wisely.

1. Try using French Guiana to take suriname and guyana near it most of usa's and uk's won't care or notice helps make brazil do more work (if you have the time). (if you take those without resistance, try taking Brazil: Amazonas or go for the caribbean and take on the U.S. on his land) 2. Try making special forces and subs/inf and a trasport in madagascar and send them to cause havoc where some B.A.'s won't notice (if you don't want to try and keep madagascar) (if you have time). 3. Wall your cap, have a larger wall surrounding it (with all the cities in your home country in it). 4. If the U.S. and/or canada don't send units to north africa ( hard to tell early on) then send extra inf's down to help hold Dakar. 5. Try to take Sierra Leone and Gold Coast early on (before turn 5), and maybe take Nigeria if things are going well. 6. Try sending extra inf's to Kamerun to try and hold F.F. in africa (makes your job easier). 7. Wall all your cities in French West Africa (FWA)----DON'T LOSE DAKAR! 8. Try inf traps in Dakar and Kamerun.

If you are talking about the v2 rocket, tht is an event unit meaning you cant build it on your own. it is also only available to the player playing Germany. it is like the two atomic bombs which only appear once for the player playing USA west

If USA and Brazil are dumb players pick GW
If you are a dumb player pick IMP
Otherwise pick PD

If you are a dumb player, no strat will save you

I recommend PD
