1. Nowdays Israel does enjoy military aid. but so does every country that the west wants to keep at its side. Israel often gets more for practical reasons.

2. Israel was founded and survived despite western embarggo. In 47s wars litterly no one wants to sell weapons to Israel. not the west (so called France and UK) and not the east (USSR). the only way to survive the war was buying soviet guns through third side (Czechoslovakia) because Stalin refused to admit he sells guns to Israel

3. Israel does not use its army for no reason. if you look at history you will see that we never started or initated any of the wars. In the past it always started with the attempts of the neighbors to destroy Israel by force or naval siege and afterwards it continued with the terroists struggles of resistence. nowdays even if the Palestinian leadership would want to achieve peace it would be extremly difficult due the salafi and jihadi lobbying and public support.

Also. reading your post i get the feeling that you don't really use any logic to shape your world view. in the past we have debated time after time and you insisted to put the blame on Israel and criticize it for issues even though you had nothing left to realie on. It's like you choose to side against us no matter what.

Four republicans voted against there party, John Mccain did not vote. That's 95% unity, that's 46 out of 51 voting yes. They needed 60. Only five democrats voted against there own party, 44out of 49 democrats voted no, thats 95% party unity, so that's 51 yes votes and 48 no votes and 1 did not vote.

Why did they vote no though? Because they want to use the government budget as a bargaining chip to pass the dreamer act, giving them tens of thousands more votes each election. Because they are a failing party and America is starting to hate them, so rather then reform there fucked up ways they try and create and buy new voting platforms to increase there voting base. It's amazing how the media spins this as a republican shut down when 95% voted in favour of the spending bill.

By the way this happened twice under Obama when he was trying to force republicans to vote for his socialist healthcare system.
